LIME Stones ~ Paint it Forward Began with a Simple Idea
Sometimes the smallest things can brighten someone’s entire day.
What started as a creative community activity quickly became something much more meaningful, an opportunity to spread encouragement, kindness, creativity, and connection throughout Oklahoma City and surrounding communities.
Each LIME Stone is hand-painted with uplifting artwork, positive messages, and colorful designs before being hidden throughout parks, walking trails, neighborhoods, and public spaces for others to discover.
Some people keep the stones they find as reminders that kindness still exists.
Others re-hide them for someone new to discover.
And many choose to join us at future painting events to create their own.
LIME Stones welcomes people of all ages and artistic skill levels. You do not have to be an artist to participate, just someone willing to help spread a little extra kindness into the community.

Gather with the community for creativity, connection, encouragement, and a little paint-covered fun.
LIME Stones painting parties are designed to bring people together through creativity and kindness.
During each event, participants gather to paint encouraging rocks using acrylic paints, paint markers, uplifting messages, colorful artwork, and creative designs before placing them throughout the community for others to discover.
Whether you come alone, bring your family, invite a friend, or simply want to spend a few hours creating something meaningful, there is a place for you here.
No artistic experience is needed.
This is not about perfection.
It is about encouragement, connection, creativity, and community.
Every painted stone becomes part of a growing kindness movement spreading throughout Oklahoma City and surrounding areas.

During select painting events, community sponsors and local professionals may be present to help support the experience and answer general questions participants may have while enjoying the event.

LIME Stones ~ Paint it Forward is not a sales event. Sponsor participation is intended to support community engagement and provide helpful educational resources when appropriate.

Participation in this project and related events is voluntary. Individuals who choose to paint, place, hide, photograph, share, or keep LIME Stones do so at their own discretion and responsibility.
Participants are encouraged to:
respect public and private property
follow local park and community guidelines
avoid unsafe placement locations
use family-friendly and encouraging artwork or messages
LIME Stones should not be placed:
in roadways or traffic areas
on protected landmarks or environmentally sensitive areas
in locations where placement is prohibited
in ways that may create hazards or property damage
Photos, stories, and submissions shared through this website, social media pages, or related forms may be featured as part of the LIME Stones ~ Paint it Forward community project unless otherwise requested.
