Real Estate Rooted in Relationships

REALTOR® | Advocate | Educator | Community Builder

With a Sprinkle of Lime, thoughtfully guiding you home.

Welcome, I’m Susan Honaker, though many people know me simply as “Susan at Lime.”

I’m an Oklahoma REALTOR® with Lime Realty, but more than that, I’m someone who deeply believes in relationships, education, advocacy, and creating spaces where people feel seen, supported, and cared for.

Over the years, life has led me through many roles: wife, mother, volunteer, advocate, educator, community supporter, and business owner. Each of those experiences has shaped the way I serve others both personally and professionally.

This website has grown into more than a place to search for homes.

It has become a space where:

families can find guidance

community connections are celebrated

advocacy stories are shared

educational resources are offered

and real estate is approached with compassion, honesty, and heart

Whether you arrived here searching for a home, exploring Oklahoma communities, learning more about my advocacy work, or simply wanting to know the story behind Susan at Lime, I’m honored you’re here.

I hope this space feels welcoming, helpful, and rooted in something deeper than transactions alone.

To me, home has always meant more than a house. It’s where life happens.

Susan At Lime About Me Susan Honaker

More Than Real Estate

Long before real estate became part of my story, I was first a wife, mother, advocate, and someone who genuinely cared about helping people feel supported during life’s biggest moments.

Originally from Michigan and now rooted here in Oklahoma, my life has been shaped by family, community, resilience, and the belief that relationships matter deeply.

Over the years, I have worn many hats:

homeschooling mom

volunteer

community advocate

educator

caregiver

event organizer

and now REALTOR®

Each season of life taught me something valuable about communication, compassion, patience, and the importance of helping people feel seen and heard.

Those experiences are part of what shaped the heart behind Susan at Lime.

I believe people deserve:

honest guidance

education without pressure

kindness during stressful seasons

and someone willing to truly listen

Whether I’m helping a family buy a home, supporting community projects, advocating for special needs and epilepsy awareness, or volunteering with families experiencing loss, my approach remains the same:

Lead with compassion.
Serve with honesty.
Build relationships that last.

The most meaningful parts of life have always centered around people, connection, and home.

A Journey That Changed My Heart

In 2005, our family experienced the unimaginable loss of our son, Evan, who passed away unexpectedly at just 40 days old from Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS).

Losing a child changes you forever.

Grief has a way of reshaping how you see people, relationships, and the importance of compassion during life’s hardest moments. Over time, that journey led me toward advocacy, healing, and eventually helping other families navigating loss of their own.

Years later, I began volunteering with Now I Lay Me Down To Sleep (NILMDTS), a nonprofit organization that provides remembrance photography to families facing the loss of a baby.

Since 2018, I have served in several volunteer roles including Dispatcher, Community Volunteer, and now Area Coordinator supporting Oklahoma City and Tulsa families, photographers, and hospital connections.

Walking alongside grieving families has profoundly shaped the way I approach every part of life and business.

It taught me:

the importance of listening

how meaningful compassion can be

the value of gentle communication

and how deeply people deserve to feel supported during vulnerable moments

Although grief will always remain part of our story, so will love, remembrance, advocacy, and purpose.

Today, Evan’s memory continues to inspire many of the ways I serve my community, through volunteer work, advocacy, education, and creating spaces where people feel safe, valued, and cared for. Advocacy and Community Leadership is in my heart.

The hardest parts of our story become the places where compassion quietly begins. Your Trauma-Informed REALTOR®

Fighting for Jayden

Advocacy became an even larger part of our family’s story through our son, Jayden.

Jayden lives with autism and epilepsy, and navigating the medical, educational, and therapy world as a parent opened my eyes to how overwhelming and isolating those journeys can sometimes feel for families.

Over the years, our family has spent countless hours:

researching

learning

advocating

adapting

documenting medical information

creating safe routines

and fighting for the support and understanding every child deserves

That journey has taught me resilience in ways I never expected.

It also strengthened my passion for education, accessibility, and helping other families feel less alone while navigating difficult or uncertain seasons of life.

The “Fighting for Jayden” portion of this website was created not only to share our family’s story, but to help bring awareness to epilepsy, special needs advocacy, and the everyday realities many families quietly navigate behind the scenes.

Through our experiences, I’ve learned that advocacy often looks like:

asking hard questions

continuing to learn

showing up repeatedly

creating safe environments

and helping others feel seen, heard, and supported

Those lessons continue to shape the way I approach both life and business.

Whether someone is navigating a medical diagnosis, searching for stability, buying their first home, or simply trying to make the best decisions for their family, people deserve compassion, patience, and someone willing to walk alongside them.

That is something I will always believe deeply in.

Community Matters Here

One of the things I love most about Oklahoma is the sense of community that exists here.

From small businesses and local events, to neighborhood gatherings and creative community projects, some of the most meaningful connections are often built through simple moments shared together.

That love for community is part of what inspired LIME Stones ~ Paint It Forward.

What began as a small idea centered around creativity and encouragement grew into a project designed to spread kindness, connection, and positive reminders throughout local communities.

Families, children, volunteers, and community members gather together to paint encouraging stones that are later hidden throughout Oklahoma for others to find, keep, or re-hide for someone else to discover.

At its heart, the project is about more than painted stones.

It’s about:

slowing down

creating together

encouraging others

building relationships

supporting local communities

and reminding people they are not alone

Over the years, community involvement has become woven into nearly every part of my life and business.

Whether through:

volunteer work

advocacy

educational resources

client appreciation events

local partnerships

or simple acts of encouragement

I believe relationships are built strongest when people feel connected, valued, and supported. Community is not just where we live. It’s how we care for one another while we’re here. Your Community Focused Real Estate Agent, who believes in Relationship Centered Real Estate

Real Estate, But Different

Real estate is often one of the biggest emotional and financial decisions people will ever make.

I believe clients deserve far more than sales pressure or rushed conversations.

They deserve:

honest guidance

education without intimidation

patience throughout the process

strong communication

and someone who genuinely cares about the outcome for their family.

The experiences that shaped my life, advocacy, caregiving, volunteering, parenting, education, and community involvement, also shaped the way I approach real estate.

I understand that behind every move, there is usually a bigger story.

Sometimes people are:

buying their very first home

navigating financial uncertainty

relocating for a fresh start

caring for aging parents

adjusting after hardship

searching for stability

moving to Oklahoma

or simply trying to build something meaningful for their family’s future.

Those moments deserve compassion, education, and support.

As a REALTOR® with Lime Realty, my goal is never simply to help someone buy or sell a house.

My goal is to help people make informed, confident decisions while feeling supported every step of the way. Your Oklahoma Home Buying, Selling or Relocating Resources.

That is why I focus heavily on:

homeowner education

first-time buyer guidance

It’s about helping people create a place where life can safely unfold.
